About JD
John Docherty (JD) works full time as a scientist and graduated from University College Worcester with a degree in Biological Sciences with associated Environmental science in 2001.
JD has always enjoyed sports and started playing rugby union as a child and still continues to this day, although at a much slower pace than that of yester year. Apart from playing rugby, JD has always enjoyed watching sports, such as Bolton wanderers in the football, formula one, cricket and both codes of rugby.
The biologist in JD has always meant that there has always been a keen interest in nature, living systems and how both animals and humans work and act for as long as I can remember. I had a simple compact 'point and shoot' digital camera for a number of years, but it wasn't until I started volunteering with The Wildlife Trust in 2010 when my interest in photography really took off and bought myself an SLR. I've always believed that the photograph should 'capture the moment' and the beauty of what it is that I am trying to photograph, without the need to heavily alter an image to make it into something completely different later on through photoshop.
If you you feel that any images (see my gallery) would enhance the walls of your office or home, then please feel free to get in touch, and we can discuss your requirements'.
I can always organise a variety of my shots, in coasters. The pictures are 3x2 inch and are encased in glass coasters with non skid pads and a solid wood centrepiece holder and are priced at £9.99 each plus postage, or for convivence, you can visit my ETSY shop (https://etsy.me/3lhkhSr). Now that the nights are drawing in, why don’t you follow follow one of the following links to eBay or Etsy and treat yourself, or someone you know, it’s never too early to start getting a few bits together for Christmas! and discuss.
